Description
Description
The songwriter Bob Dylan wrote this book, Tarantula, in the year 1966. However, it was not to be released in full, till the year 1971. Speaking vividly of the the turbulent 1960s, the times during which it was written, the book consists of prose poetry that is experimental in form. The book also contains a section where Dylan parodies the famous song Black Betty by Lead Belly. There are also reviews which state that the book is somewhat similar to the notes of his music.Tarantula was published by Scribner and the revised edition was released in 2004. It is available in paperback. Key Features: Dylan has often stated that it was never his intention to actually write a book and that his manager, Albert Grossman, had signed for the contract to write the novel without his absolute consent.
