Description
Description
Aldous Leonard Huxley was an English philosopher and a prolific writer, writing over 50 books across fiction and non-fiction. Identified as one of the most forward-thinking man of letters of his time, he was a high-achiever and an inspiration to many. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature nine times and in 1959 won the American Academy of Arts and Letters Award of Merit for his novel, Brave New World and was awarded the 1962 Companion of Literature by the Royal Society of Literature. The Doors of Perception is his autobiographical account of his experimentation with mescalin. The Art of seeing is Huxley's discussion of improvement of human eyesight as an art rather than science. He experiments with the rather controversial Bates method and shares his insight. The physiology of the eye and the psychology of human sight make up the core of this work.
